Personal Growth and Development

My journey of self-development has been ongoing, marked by a commitment to continuous improvement through therapy, intentional learning, and the nurturing of healthy relationships. I have maintained strong, long-term friendships and built new support networks, especially during major life transitions. These experiences have created a foundation for lasting emotional well-being and personal stability.

If you’re searching for real answers and genuine support as a man facing the weight of family, career, and personal challenges, you’ve got to meet this guy. Here’s someone who’s lived through the tough stuff—witnessed his father walk out, carried his mother’s world on his shoulders as a teenager, navigated extraordinary  heartbreak, extremely complex divorces, raising nourishing neurodiverse kids, and survived toxic relationships that would break most people.

A Personal Journey Through Life’s Milestones

My journey begins in the heart of a typical 1970s family—four children, with myself as the youngest by a significant margin. The seven-year gap to my eldest sister set me apart, and frequent moves between Calgary and Houston in the oil patch marked my early years. While I don’t recall the routine challenges of childhood, I vividly remember the pervasive negativity and emotional distance of my father. His unexpected departure in 1983, when I was just fourteen, stands as a defining milestone. That night, sitting beside my mother as she wept, I felt lost and unmoored. This event shaped the foundation of my life, teaching me resilience and responsibility from a young age.

These experiences—spanning parenthood, trauma, and perseverance—have profoundly shaped my coaching practice. I recognize the unique challenges faced by men in similar situations, particularly when emotional struggles are compounded by complex family and professional responsibilities. My story is one of resilience, empathy, and the unwavering pursuit of growth, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable difficulties. Through patience, active listening, and a commitment to understanding rather than judgment, I have learned that healing and success are possible, no matter how catastrophic the circumstances.

Empathy, Experience, and Real Conversations

A Personal Journey in Men's Coaching

If you’re reading this, chances are you know firsthand what it’s like to carry the weight of expectations and responsibilities—at work, at home, and within yourself. I know that feeling intimately. There were times I sat alone after tough board meetings, wondering if anyone truly understood the pressure to lead through uncertainty, make impossible choices, or guide a team through transformation. I’ve walked through those fires myself, having led a complete overhaul of a national security company, navigated the labyrinth of enterprise resource planning, and spearheaded process improvements in an industry where every decision impacts livelihoods. I know what it’s like to have sleepless nights over financial margins, to coach a team through setbacks, and to be the person everyone turns to for answers. But beneath all that, I discovered that true strength is found in vulnerability—in reaching out and embracing support rather than going it alone.
